Grinds should line up with how you intend to play the club, a grind that has a narrow sole is more diverse but leans towards a knock down with a closed face or full swings. I typically play on hard ground, so when I take my low bounce wedges to a course built on a marsh, I struggle to not remove a beaver tail sized divot without some adjustment, but when I take a high bounce wedge to the hard ground I can't ever seem to hit through the ball fully and get the spin I want. High bounce wedges are recommended for steep swings and people that dig down, or for playing in soft muddy conditions.
